Richard Phillips began his career more than 30 years ago as a financial advisor, but quickly found his passion in helping retirement plans work in practice, not just on paper. That led him into the TPA and compliance space, where he has spent decades guiding plan sponsors, advisors, and CPAs through the complexities of Erisa to improve compliance and deliver stronger retirement outcomes.


This career arc gives Richard a grounded understanding of the challenges clients face. He knows the rules, and more importantly, how they apply in the real world. Whether consulting on plan design, resolving operational issues, or reviewing results, his goal is to make compliance clear and actionable.


Beyond client work, Richard is a strong advocate for industry education, supporting ASPPA and other professional groups to strengthen the field for the millions of Americans whose futures depend on it.

Dakota Morrison

Client Relationship Manager

As President of Erisa Consultants, Dakota Morrison is focused on delivering smarter ways to serve clients and improve retirement outcomes. He began his career in recordkeeping, gaining a close-up view of how plans succeed or fail in practice. That foundation shaped his belief that great results come from aligning smart design with seamless execution.

Over time, Dakota moved into client relationship management and consulting, where he combined operational expertise with plan design and compliance strategy. This mix of experience gives him a practical, well-rounded view of the challenges clients face and the solutions that make a real difference.

He holds a BS in Accounting, an MBA, and credentials including QKC, QKA, and CPFA. Away from work, Dakota enjoys time with his wife, Megan, and their daughter, Ruthie – and can often be found on the golf course, still working on his swing.

Justin Bonestroo

Client Relationship Manager

As Consulting Actuary and Executive Vice President, Justin Bonestroo works with advisors to design and manage retirement plans that do more than meet compliance—they deliver results. With a background in both technical depth and strategic consulting, he brings a high-level perspective to plan design and administration, ensuring plans evolve as client needs grow.

Before joining Erisa Consultants, Justin was managing shareholder of a successful retirement plan administration and actuarial firm, where he led strategy, operations, and client consulting. That experience gave him a 360-degree view of the industry—not just as a technician, but as a business leader navigating growth, client expectations, and operational challenges.

He has also held leadership positions across the American Retirement Association and its affiliates, including serving as President of ASPPA and ASEA, and on ASPPA’s Government Affairs IRS Subcommittee. Beyond work, Justin spends time outdoors with his wife, Cally, and their children, Claire and Case, and is often coaching youth sports, riding motorcycles, or restoring the 1967 Mustang he’s owned since age 14.

Ryan Bogle

Ryan is a dedicated retirement consulting professional who takes pride in helping businesses build retirement plan solutions that truly make a difference. He prides himself on delivering excellent, timely service, and approaches every client relationship with a commitment to continuous improvement—striving not only to meet expectations but to exceed them.

Ryan holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA. He has also earned the QKC, QKA, and CPFA designations, reflecting his deep expertise in qualified plan consulting and fiduciary best practices.

When he’s not working with clients, you’ll usually find Ryan playing and watching sports, hanging out with family and friends, or spending time with his dog, Jack.
